Package Detailed Itinerary

DUration: 15 Nights / 16 Days.

Destinatio covered::Delhi, Sariska, Jaipur, Agra, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Kathmandu.

Day 01 - 02: Depart Home Town

Depart Home city for the capital of India. Depending on your departure city, an involuntarily transit overnight may be necessary in either Europe or the Orient. If so, we will provide one near the airport.

Day 03: Arrive Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to New Delhi – You are greeted the traditional way and transferred to your hotel.

Day 04: Delhi

Day tour of Old and New Delhi includes Jama Masjid, Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament Buildings, Birla Mandir, Gandhi memorial and experience the bazaar at Chandni Chowk.

Day 05: Delhi/Sariska (239 Kms)

Countryside drive brings you to Sariska. Afternoon visit the Wildlife Sanctuary famous for Cheetah, Antelope, Sambar, and other wild life.

Day 06: Sariska/Jaipur (111 Kms)

You drive along side villages for Jaipur the “Pink City” famous for its exquisite buildings of rose coloured terra cotta.

Day 07: Jaipur

The capital of Rajasthan is the most colourful city in India. Your tour includes a royal savour on an elephant back ride to Amer Fort. Next is a tour of the city with its famous pink coloured buildings, museum, observatory, Palace of Winds and the colourful bazaar.

Day 08: Jaipur/Agra (230 Kms)

En route to Agra you visit Fatehpur Sikri once a glittering Moghul capital later to marvel at the well preserved buildings and red sandstone palaces. Proceed to Agra - Home of the world’s most famous shrine dedicated to love - the Taj Mahal.

Day 09: Agra

You first visit this immortal wonder of the world, which was built by Shah Jehan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, followed, by a visit to Agra Fort, tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah and the city. Afternoon free to revisit the Taj or explore the bazaars near the fort.

Day 10: Agra/Khajuraho

Travel aboard the famous Shatabadi Express Train to Jhansi and continue by coach to visit Orchha, a medieval city on River Betwa. Proceed to Khajuraho, renowned for its splendid temples.

Day 11: Khajuraho

Tour the spectacular 9-13th Century temples of Khajuraho, built by Chandela Kings. The temples are exquisitely carved with graceful statues and frieze gods and goddesses. Afternoon, at leisure to join the believers at various temples.

Day 12: Khajuraho/Varanasi

Short flight to the holy city of Varanasi situated on the sacred Ganges River. Tour Sarnath where Buddha received enlightenment and visit temples and shrines, pass narrow streets filled with shops selling exotic spices and silks.

Day 13: Varanasi/Kathmandu (Nepal)

At sunrise we take a boat cruise on the Ganges River where pilgrims converge for the ritual of immersion and prayer. We tour the city and visit houses where the famous Banarasi silk is cultivated. Later we fly to Delhi to connect with flight to Kathmandu - capital of the Kingdom of Nepal. This is a very spiritual land isolated by the high Himalayas.

Day 14: Kathmandu

Our tour includes the famous Gilded Copper Gate in Bhadgeon, the Hindu Temple of Shiva and the Buddhist shrine of Bodhnath. Countryside drive to the “City of Artists” - Patan - to see beautiful art and architecture. We also visit the fascinating Tibetan Refugee Craft Centre, pagodas and palaces in Durbar.

Day 15: Kathmandu

Day at leisure. An optional scenic mountain flight over the breathtaking Himalayas to see Mount Everest (Weather permitting). A farewell dinner, Nepali style, will be our goodbye to the Himalayas.

Day 16: Kathmandu/Home Bound

We bid farewell to Kathmandu and Himalayan Nepal as we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight back Home.
